Predictive Maintenance: Start with the Machine, Not the Dashboard

A useful warning begins with a clear equipment question. Connect machine behaviour, operating conditions and maintenance knowledge before choosing an AI model.

Choose a problem worth understanding

Start with one recurring equipment issue: an unexpected stop, a changing sound, a rising temperature or a component that needs frequent attention. Record the conditions in which it happens and what the maintenance team already knows.

Bring the signals into context

A measurement needs context. The same machine can behave differently with a new product, another speed or a different load. Review operating states and maintenance records alongside the available signals before deciding what should count as unusual.

Make the warning actionable

Agree who will review a warning, which checks they can perform and how they will record the outcome. JannMax can help scope the equipment question, evaluate the available information and plan a focused first trial.
